Bright green leaves with contrasting dark maroon stems and veins add color and taste to salad mix. Same sharp, tangy flavour as regular sorrel. Best picked young for a lemony taste. If allowed to grow to mature size, leaves can become tough. Perennial herb, often the last to die down in winter and the first to appear.
